You can't think about New Mexico without thinking of chiles.  The very word chilies is spelled a bit differently here!  We put chile (or chili) in everything!  We carry chocolates, jellies and jams, candy, nuts, brittle, cornbread, beer bread and even popcorn with chile in it--not to mention the more traditional barbecue sauces, marinades, salsas, soup mixes, spices, seasonings and achiote paste.  In fact, the "state question" is "Red or Green?"  And if you answer with "Christmas", you'll get both red and green chile sauce with your meal!

A ristra is a group of chile pods strung together, either treated as to be for decorative use or untreated for picking a chile off of to use in cooking.  A regalito is a ristra that flat on the back to hang close to the wall, and a piquin uses small chiles.

At Celestial Creations, we offers lots of gourmet foods with chile in it--much more than you can find in our online store.  We also have plenty of home decor featuring chilies or chiles, such as a wall plaque in the shape of NM with the state question and a painting of both a red and green chile ristra, clocks shaped liked Zias with chilies on them, benches & tables with hand-painted chiles.

Other home decor with chilies include spoonrests, tiles, trivets, coasters, chimes, coffee cups or mugs, wedding vases, placemats, hand towels, aprons, purses, T-shirts, ornaments, postcards & greeting cards, even furniture with chilies.

Since many of our items are either individually handcrafted or created in small batches, we never have a huge inventory of anything, and sometimes, there is simply on one-of-a-kind ever.  A perfect example of this is Pam Monet's felted wool purses featuring a chile.  (See the Fiber Arts page.)
